Sophia trains locally, in Brighton, with the Worthing Harriers sprint squad and at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in London. Dorking-born Sophia has been running since the age of 16 and has already won a bronze and silver medal at the 2011 IPC World Athletics Championships in New Zealand.
“I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen by Chandlers Brighton as part of their involvement in London 2012. Firstly, it is great to have the local support and to know that they are behind me all the way. Over and above this, it is great to be driving such a fabulous car. The MINI Countryman is already proving to be a great and fun family car.” Sophia added, “It will be an enormous help getting me to my races all over the country and I am sure it will continue to turn heads everywhere that I go!”
